Gaurav , one of the founder member of Yashwanti Adventures , organized non-luxurious, economic trek for the people of his realm. You may find this mysterious but Things are not always as they seemed, Much that may seem mysterious can be straight-forward.   It was rainy and cold day in south Mumbai.. And we started our journey from Charni Road to the north of the north Mumbai.. We were 8 . It got colder and colder as we headed to north!! We boarded to Virar a wall between north and north of the north... Why is it that when one man builds a wall, the next man immediately needs to know what's on the other side? लेखक - गौरव भावे.  गौरव यशवंती Adventures चे संस्थापक सदस्य असून त्यांचा सामाजिक उपक्रमात सक्रिय सहभाग  आहे.  तांदुळवाडी किल्ला. एका दिवसात करता येणारा मुंबई पासून हाकेच्या अंतरावर असणारा किल्ला. 2016 चा मान्सून आता कुठे आपलं आगमन दर्शवत आहे. भर उन्हात करपत सुद्धा ट्रेक करणारे आम्ही पावसात सह्याद्रीला बघण्यास तर आतुरच असतो.  रविवार ( 26 जून, 16) अगदी दोन दिवसांवर आलेला तरी काही बेत ठरत नव्हता. किल्ले बरेच पण थोडा आडवाटेचा किल्ला करायचा होता. कारण पावसात हवशे नवशे गवशे सगळे येतात मग गर्दी झाली कि नकोस वाटत. म्हणून तांदुळवाडी निवडला.    8 जण तयार झाले, सकाळी 5.24 ची चर्चगेट हुन सुटणारी डहाणू ट्रेन पकडणार होतो, पण ट्रेन चुकली. मग विरार लोकल मग तिथून दिव्यातून वसई मार्गे डहाणू ला जाणारी शटल ट्रेन पकडून सफाळे रॉड ला पायउतार झालो. तिथून रिक्षा पकडून 6 किलोमीटर वर असणाऱ्या तांदुळवाडी या गावात आलो,  किल्ल्याचे नाव गावाच्या नावावरून ठेवण्यात आले असावे. 8.30 वाजता किल्ला चढायला सुरुवात केली. गडावर जाणाऱ्या 3 वाटा एक सरळ नाकावरून जाते किल्याच्या...

दरवाजा उघडला का ? (मी) संध्याकाळी इथे कशाला येता ?  संध्याकाळी नाही रात्री आलो . (इति तेजस) तेच ते ..  घर आहे का हे ? इथे काल "मडर" झालाय . . तुम्हाला कळत नाही का ? कोण पण येतात इकडे .दुसर्यांच्या बायका घेऊन पण येतात.  आधीच लोळत होतो. आणि हसायला लागलो. "Rolling on the floor laughing" दरवाजा उघडला का ? (मी परत) हा. उघडला.  तिकडचे सकाळी सकाळी घेऊन आलेले काका आम्हाला ओरडून गेले.  पटापट उठलो. खाली घातलेले बँनर आवरले. ७.३० वाजले होते. गडाचा दरवाजा संध्याकाळी बंद करतात. आणि सकाळी परत उघडतात. चढण्यास अतिशय सोप्पासा आणि मुंबई-पुण्याहून पोहोचण्यास अजिबात अडचण नसलेला किल्ला शिवाय नवीन ट्रेकर्स साठीचा किल्ला म्हणजे लोहगड. खरं तर लोहगड - विसापूर असे दोन्ही किल्ले करायचं ठरवलं होतं. त्याप्रमाणे रात्री ८.२३ ची महालक्ष्मी एक्स्प्रेस पकडली आणि लोणावळयाला उतरलो. ११.४५ची शेवटची लोणावळा - पुणे लोकल पकडली आणि १२ च्या आसपास लगेच येणाऱ्या मळवली स्टेशनवर उतरलो. तिथून पुलावरून द्रुतगती मार्ग पार करून सरळ लोणावळ्याच्या दिशेला चालत गेल्यावर भाजे गाव लागतं. त्याच्या अलीकडे ...

Avchitgad – rarely visited fort even though near Mumbai. This time trek was with “Yashwanti Adventures, Girgaon”. The organization because of which I started trekking.  The organization which does Fort Conservation at Sarasgad.  Our trekking journey started together with highest peak in Maharashtra - Kalsubai. The organization was named after that first trek as 'Yashwanti Adventures' of which I'm one of the founder member. However I wasn't decisive at that moment. So many things to tell about “Yashwanti Adventures” but will do it in another post. Coming back to the point. Trek was on 4-5 April 2015. Avchitgad loacated near Roha – A Railway station on Kokan Railway. We decided to go by Diva-Roha passenger. So caught 7.07 PM local to Panvel from Cst. The passenger was scheduled for 8.40 PM at panvel. It was one and half hour late. Caught the passenger. As the ritual of Yashwanti Adventures sung different songs in the passenger. It was our anniversary trek of “Ikadun Tikdun Achanak Bhayanak ” Trekkers. A group of mad guys who couldn`t think a nice name for their group. A year ago we went to Rajmachi i.e. on 4 th January. And this year on 4 th January we were on the top of the Harihar fort. Unlike Rajmachi this time we were only 4. ITABT- Rajmachi We decided to go to Tryambakgad (Brahmagiri) , Harihargad and Basgad (Bhaskargad). But we dropped out the Basgad. On 2 nd jan took 7.21 pm Kasara local from CST. It was the day on which there was total chaos of locals. Because of that very few dared to travel by train. And surprisingly there was no rush for Kasara. After passing Titwala one of the passengers told us not to go to Kasara. Instead get down at Umbarmali (Sub-station between Khardi and Kasara) and take S.T. to Nashik. We did exactly the same.
